Join a team merging the world of multimedia with the world of social networking using Flex and Flash.
Wallop is a privately held startup in San Francisco building the next generation of social networking products and technology. We are seeking a Flex Developer to use his/her multimedia/graphic programming skills and who understands RIA's and has a passion for building easy to navigate, intuitive yet powerful User Interfaces.
Wallop's entire user interface is written in Flash and we are now developing a ActionScript 3.0 version and utilizing Flex. Developers who have created dynamic Flex applications will enjoy the exciting work and rare opportunity to push Flex/Flash its limits.
Responsibilities:
- Working with project managers to implement features that enhance the overall user experience
- Designing code modules that scale well under heavy load
- Interfacing with Graphic Designers for look and feel
- Interfacing with back-end Engineers for client-server interaction
- Working with QA analysts to resolve issues before going live
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional Flex development
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related area
- Strong experience with Flash, Flex and Actionscript
- Proven ability to rapidly implement interactive applications using Flash and / or Flex
- Experience with Java, C# or C++ programming
- Strong understanding of usability issues and user-centered design

PTO and Holidays
